The championship team of Liverpool FC

The following list lists all players who played in a league game for Liverpool FC during the 1989/90 season. It must be noted that in English football a minimum number of games is usually required in order to receive the official championship medal. Since there was uncertainty about the specific regulation before the introduction of the Premier League, all players who presumably did not receive a championship medal due to their low contribution were marked with an asterisk (*). The number of missions and the goals scored are given in brackets.

    1. After the Heysel disaster in 1985, Liverpool FC was excluded from participating in European club competitions, so England remained without a participant in the 1990/91 European Cup . The general ban for English clubs expired in 1990; but this did not apply to the "main culprit" from Liverpool, who had to wait another year for his comeback.
