Football League First Division 1962/63

The Football League First Division 1963/64 was the 65th season of the highest English football league . It began on August 24, 1963 and ended on April 29, 1964.

The Liverpool won with four points ahead of Manchester United 's now sixth English championship. Both newly promoted Chelsea and Stoke City were able to hold the class; instead, the Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town had to go into the Second Division . These two clubs should be replaced in the following season by the two second division promoted Leeds United and AFC Sunderland .

A total of 487 players were used, with Liverpool FC having the fewest with 17 and Fulham FC having the most players in league games with 27. 103 newcomers opposed 114 footballers who last came into play in the 1963/64 season. 16 players were able to play all 42 league games in their club.

The championship team of Liverpool FC

The following list lists all players who played in a league game for Liverpool FC during the 1963/64 season. It must be noted that in English football a minimum number of games is usually required in order to receive the official championship medal. Since there was uncertainty about the specific regulation before the introduction of the Premier League, all players who presumably did not receive a championship medal due to their low contribution were marked with an asterisk (*). The number of missions and the goals scored are given in brackets.
