Gambrinus League 2005/06

The Gambrinus League 2006/07 was the 14th season of the top Czech league in football , the Gambrinus League . It was held from July 29, 2006 to May 27, 2007. 16 teams played against each other twice on a total of 30 match days, divided into a first and a second round.

Czech football champion was Sparta Prague . Second place went to Slavia Prague ahead of FK Mladá Boleslav and Slovan Liberec due to the better direct comparison when the points were equal (58). The FK Jablonec 97 secured the participation in the UEFA Cup by reaching the final in the Czech football cup .

Relegation had to the FK Marila Příbram and 1. FC Slovácko

The top scorer was Luboš Pecka from FK Mladá Boleslav with 16 goals , while the best foreign player was the Bosnian Edin Džeko from FK Teplice .
