Luboš Hušek (born January 26, 1984 in Jablonec nad Nisou ) is a Czech football player .

Career

Luboš Hušek started playing football at FK Elitex Jablonec , and when he was ten he moved to FK Jablonec 97 . There, the defensive midfielder moved up to the professional squad in January 2004. On February 16, 2004, he celebrated his first division debut against Sigma Olomouc . He scored his first league goal on October 17, 2004. The talented Hušek made a faux pas in 2005 when he was absent from several training sessions at his club without excuse.

Since August 2005 Hušek is also used in the Czech U-21 national team . In the summer of 2006, FK Jablonec had offers for Hušek from Celtic Glasgow and AS Saint-Étienne , but the Czech declined on the grounds that he did not feel ready for an international transfer.

At the end of September 2006, Luboš Hušek was absent again in his team's training, and he was also absent without excuse in the following championship game. He was not to be contacted for the club management. A few days later, the Czech record champions Sparta Prague announced the commitment of the midfielder, initially on loan, in January 2007 Hušek signed a contract there until June 30, 2010.

At Sparta Prague, the media-shy Hušek immediately won a regular place. After Tomáš Sivok's departure in January 2007, he was the most important player in the defensive midfield of the capital club. From the second half of the 2009/10 season he was used less often and won the championship in 2010. Since summer 2012 he has been without a club.
