Štěpán Kučera (born June 11, 1984 in Prague ) is a Czech football player .

Club career

Kučera started playing football at the small Prague club Sokol Bíla Hora . At the age of 15, the defender moved to Chmel Blšany . In 2001 he went to Sparta Prague , in the 2002/03 season he was loaned to the Prague fourth division Uhelné sklady . Then he returned to Sparta, but was only used in the B team, which played in the 2nd division. In early 2006, Kučera was loaned to FK Jablonec 97 , for whom he made his debut in the Gambrinus League on February 25 in a 2-1 away win over Viktoria Pilsen . In the winter break 2006/07 the defender returned to Prague and won a regular place towards the end of the season.

In May 2007, Kučera was signed by Club Bruges for four years . He broke his cheekbone in July 2007 and was injured for several weeks. Then he played with a special mask. In autumn 2008 Kučera was loaned to Sparta Prague. In early February 2009, Kučera moved again on loan to FK Jablonec. In the summer of 2009 Kučera returned to Belgium and was awarded to the KSV Roeselare . After the contract termination at Club Bruges, the Czech joined the second division club SK Kladno in September 2010 .

From 2011 to 2015 he worked in Kazakhstan with Tobol Qostanai and Irtysch Pavlodar . Then he moved briefly to the Czech second division club FK Slavoj and since July 2016 he has been playing for FK Stechovice in the third division .
