Premijer Liga 2005/06

The Premijer Liga 2006/07 , which is also called BHT Premijer Liga according to a sponsorship agreement , was the seventh season of the highest Bosnian-Herzegovinian league in men's football . It began on August 5, 2006 with the home game of NK Posušje against FK Željezničar Sarajevo (0-0) and ended on May 26, 2007.

Game mode

In the 2006/07 season, as in previous years, 16 clubs competed against each other in a total of 30 rounds. Each team played once at home and once away against each of the fifteen other teams. In the Premijer Liga 2006/07 the 16 teams played for three international starting places: one for the 1st qualifying round of the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League , one for the 1st qualifying round of the 2007/08 UEFA Cup and one for the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2007 . As champions, FK Sarajevo was eligible to qualify for the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League. In addition to runner-up HŠK Zrinjski Mostar , regional rivals NK Široki Brijeg also managed to gain a place in the first qualifying round of the 2007/08 UEFA Cup by winning the cup final. The third-placed FK Slavija Sarajevo , competitor of the master club from 2006/07, played for it in the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2007. The two last placed in the league had to relegate to the first division FBiH and first division RS . This affected FK Borac Banja Luka and FK Radnik Bijeljina .
