The 2006/07 Prva Crnogorska Liga was the first season of the highest Montenegrin football league. The season began on August 11, 2006 with the game between FK Rudar Pljevlja and Budućnost Podgorica (0-2) and ended on May 26, 2007.

Twelve teams took part that had previously played either in the former joint league with Serbia or the former Montenegrin national league. The teams competed against each other in three rounds, so that 33 game days had to be completed. The teams that finished in the first six places after 22 games had an additional six home games, the teams in the lower six places had five home games.
Autumn champion was FK Budućnost Podgorica , champion was FK Zeta Golubovci . Relegation to the Druga Crnogorska Liga had to FK Berane and FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje .
