The Prva Crnogorska Liga 2008/09 was the third season of the highest Montenegrin football league. The season began on August 9, 2008 and ended on May 30, 2009. Defending champion was FK Budućnost Podgorica .

The twelve teams competed against each other in three rounds, so that 33 match days had to be completed. The teams that finished in the first six places after 22 games had an additional six home games, the teams in the lower six places had five home games. The bottom of the table was relegated to the Druga Crnogorska Liga . The teams in places ten and eleven played in the relegation to stay in the league.
