Veikkausliiga 2008

The Veikkausliiga 2009 was the 20th season of the Finnish top division in men's football under this name and the 79th season since its introduction in 1930. The season started on April 18 and ended on October 17, 2009.

The first and 22nd time in the club's history of Finnish champions was HJK Helsinki , defending champions Inter Turku finished the season in 5th place. Rovaniemi PS rose to the bottom of the table in the Ykkönen , the penultimate JJK Jyväskylä secured relegation.
