Veikkausliiga 2005

The Veikkausliiga 2006 was the 17th season of the Finnish top division in men's football under this name and the 76th season since its introduction in 1930. The season started on April 19 and ended on October 29, 2006.

Tampere United became champions, six points ahead of record champions HJK Helsinki . Haka Valkeakoski came third.

Before the season AC Allianssi from Vantaa had their license withdrawn, so that the league started with only 13 teams. This also meant that there was only one relegated: The Kuopion PS had to make its way to the Ykkönen after the season .
