The Mestaruussarja 1940/41 was the twelfth season of the Finnish football championship since its introduction in 1930. It was played among eight teams from August 2, 1940 to June 6, 1941.

The season was canceled because of the continuation war and the intermediate result of the table was rated as the final table. Turku PS became the master .

The chaos of war also had serious consequences in football. Since Viipuri fell to Russia, defending champion Viipurin Sudet played his home games in Helsinki .
