The Veikkausliiga 2012 was the 23rd season of the top Finnish division in men's football under this name and the 82nd season since its introduction in 1930. The season started on April 15 and ended on October 27, 2012.
Defending champion and record champion at the same time was the HJK Helsinki from the Finnish capital. FC Lahti was newly promoted to the Veikkausliiga . Helsinki won their 25th championship with a six point lead over Inter Turku . In addition to HJK , the two clubs from Turku, Inter and Turku PS qualified for the European Cup. The cup winner was FC Honka Espoo . The Haka Valkeakoski was relegated to the Ykkönen .
