The Wiklöf Holding Arena is a football stadium with athletics track in the Finnish city of Mariehamn region Åland . In addition to the games of the IFK Mariehamn football club , the Åland football team play their home games here.

history

The site was inaugurated in 1932 as Maarianhaminan Idrottsparken ( German  Mariehamn Sportpark ). A soccer field was not created until 1968. In 1979 it was supplemented by a plastic track around the field. Renovation work began on the stadium in 2005. A new main grandstand with around 1,600 covered seats was built. The businessman Anders Wiklöf, who was born in Mariehamn, paid part of the costs. The converted stadium was reopened on August 27, 2006 with the league match IFK Mariehamn against HJK Helsinki (0-0). The plant has been named Wiklöf  Holding  Ab since 2005 . In 2013 the Södra Altan ( German  south balcony ) with 180 seats was built. There you can watch the game while eating and drinking.

Next to the venue is an illuminated artificial turf field with 1,000 seats. It can be divided into two 50 × 65 m fields. It also offers seven changing rooms and a sauna .
