The Tapiolan urheilupuisto ( German  Tapiola sports park ; Swedish Hagalunds idrottspark ) is a football stadium in the Tapiola district of the second largest Finnish city ​​of Espoo , Uusimaa . It is located in the city's sports park of the same name and is home to the men's team of the Honka Espoo football club , which currently plays in the country's top division, the Veikkausliiga . The club's women's team, FC Honka Naiset ( Naisten Liiga ), is also based there.

history

The stadium, which opened in 1970, also includes a grass field, three artificial turf fields and several small playing fields . Between 2006 and 2007 the home of FC Honka was renovated. The entire Tapiolan urheilupuisto includes other sports and event facilities such as the Espoo Metro Areena multipurpose hall , which opened in 1999 and is the venue for the Espoo Blues ice hockey team . The multifunctional Esport Arena is located at the south end of the stadium . It offers u. a. a full-size soccer field, eight floorball courts and a 800 m running track . In 2011 the Honkahalli was created in the z. B. Basketball is played.

For promotion to the Veikkausliiga 2018 , some work was carried out on the stadium. As of the 2018 season, the stadium will have 4,100 seats. The main grandstand holds 1350 spectators. The north stand offers standing room for 800. 1000 standing places are available for the guests. A further 950 seats are available.
