The Veritas Stadium is a football stadium in the Finnish city of Turku , in the Kupittaa district . It is mainly used as a venue for the Inter Turku football club , which plays in the Veikkausliiga , the highest Finnish football league.

The stadium currently has a capacity of 9,372 seats, 8,072 of which are seats. The stadium currently has two grandstands, which are located on the long sides of the field.

The old grandstand ( Olympiakatsomo ) was built in 1952 for the Helsinki Olympic Games . After the renovation in 2003, when a new, modern grandstand was built on the opposite side, the name was changed from Kupittaan jalkapallostadion (German: Kupittaa football stadium ) to Veritas stadium .

The stadium record in the old Kupittaan jalkapallo stadium from 1987 was 15,000 spectators at the UEFA Cup match between Turku PS and Inter Milan . The attendance record in the new stadium is 9,089, which came about at the derby between Turku PS and Inter Turku in 2009.

The Veritas Stadium was one of the five venues for the 2009 European Women's Football Championship . For this purpose, the two grandstands behind the gates were expanded by more than 1,600 seats in order to meet the requirements of UEFA . In the stadium, which was called Turku Stadium during the European Championship , four preliminary round and one quarter-finals were played.
