The Veikkausliiga 2020 is the 31st season of the highest Finnish league in football the men under that name as well as the 90th season since their introduction in 1930. The season began because of COVID-19 pandemic in Finland late on 1 July 2020 and ends on November 22nd, 2020.

mode

First, all twelve teams meet twice in the main round. After that, the first six teams in the championship round determine the champions, while the last six teams play in the relegation round. In these rounds, only the first half of the season are played, so there were five game days each. The points from the main round are taken over.

The champions take part in the qualification for the Champions League qualification, the second, third and cup winners in the UEFA Europa Conference League . The final play-offs for the Europa Conference League will not be played in 2020. The bottom of the table is relegated directly, the penultimate has to go into relegation.

    The first leg will take place on December 6th, the second leg will be played on December 9th.
