The Premjer-Liha 2019/20 ( Ukrainian Прем'єр-ліга ; after the sponsor also Favbet League ) was the 29th season of the highest Ukrainian league in football and the twelfth edition under this name (previously: Wyschtscha Liha, German Supreme League ). Twelve teams took part in the competition.
The defending champion Shakhtar Donetsk won his fourth national title in a row.
The third Europa League starting place was played between places 4 to 7 of the placement rounds in three games.
The two relegation places fell away, only the last placed was relegated.
Game operations during the COVID-19 pandemic
Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic , gaming operations were suspended until further notice after the first day of the placement rounds had been completed. Following a decision by the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, the resumption of gaming was approved on May 30th.

After an initial phase of the season with home and away games, in which all twelve teams are involved (a total of 22 games per team), the first six teams in the table play for the title in a championship group, while the remaining six teams in a relegation group against relegation fight.

1After Karpaty Lviv failed to play two games due to COVID-19 infections, the team was excluded from the competition and relegated. The two non-played games against FK Mariupol were each rated 3-0 for Mariupol, the rest as a goalless victory for the respective opponent.
The sixth of the placement rounds played against the seventh, the fifth against the eighth. The winners qualified for the next round. The games were played on July 25, 2020.
