The Premjer-Liha 2014/15 ( Ukrainian Прем'єр-ліга ) was the 24th season of the highest Ukrainian league in football and the seventh edition under this name (previously: Wyschtscha Liha, German Supreme League). The season started on July 25, 2014 and ended on April 29, 2015.
The defending champion was Shakhtar Donetsk .
This year the competition was held with 14 participants. On October 30, 2013, Arsenal Kiev went bankrupt and stopped playing. The two teams from Crimea from last season, PFK Sevastopol and Tawrija Simferopol , were disbanded after the Crimean crisis and have been playing in the Russian league system since then. The first two teams from the Perscha Liha 2013/14 , Olimpik Donetsk and FK Oleksandrija , should play in their place. PFK Oleksandrija canceled the participation and has merged with UkrAchroKom Holowkiwka under the new name FK Oleksandrija .
Due to the ongoing crisis in eastern Ukraine , the teams from Donetsk and Luhansk had to play their home games elsewhere. Shakhtar Donetsk played in Lviv , Metalurh Donetsk and Olimpik Donetsk in Kiev and Zorya Luhansk has chosen Zaporizhia .
