Serhiy Olexandrowytsch Sydortschuk ( Ukrainian Сергій Олександрович Сидорчук , born May 2, 1991 in Zaporizhia ) is a Ukrainian football player . Since 2013 he has played for Dynamo Kiev in the Ukrainian first division .

Career

Sydortschuk began his career in his hometown with Metalurh Zaporizhia , where he made his debut in August 2009 in the Premjer-Liha . In 2011 he was relegated to the second division with Zaporizhia, but rose again a year later. In January 2013 he moved to the top club Dynamo Kiev . At first he only came to short appearances, only in the last two games of the season did he complete the full season. Also in the 2013/14 season, he was only used very irregularly and was used in various positions. He completed 14 missions that year, 5 of them over the full season. In the cup final , he only came into play in the last few minutes, but was then able to celebrate his first title.

From 2014, Sydortschuk was able to firmly establish himself in the team and he won his first Ukrainian championship with Kiev . In the cup final, in which the title was defended, he was on the starting grid. The championship title could be defended in the 2015/16 season.

National team

Sydortschuk was nominated for the national team for the first time in 2013 in the play-off games of the World Cup qualification. However, he made his debut in October 2014 in the European Championship qualifier against Belarus . As a result, he was used regularly and was also part of the team that made the qualification for the 2016 European Football Championship in France perfect in the two relegation games against Slovenia . After that he was also included in the EM squad of Ukraine . He played the first two European Championship games against Germany and Northern Ireland on the starting line-up. After two defeats, coach Michail Fomenko changed the team and he was no longer considered. After the three games, Ukraine was eliminated.
