Mikkel Duelund (born June 29, 1997 in Arhus ) is a Danish football player who is currently under contract with Dynamo Kiev in the Ukraine .

Career

Coming from its own youth department, Duelund has been an integral part of FC Midtjylland's first team since January 1, 2015 . The offensive midfielder made his league debut on March 21, 2015 in the league game against Hobro IK , when he was substituted on in the 78th minute of the game. This was followed by six more appearances in the top Danish league, the Superliga , in the 2014/15 season , before Duelund and FC Midtjylland became Danish football champions for the first time in the club's history at the end of the season. In the subsequent UEFA Champions League qualification, Duelund was substituted on in the second round against Lincoln Red Imps FC from Gibraltar in the course of the second half and scored in the 89th minute to make it 2-0, scoring his first European Cup goal. In the 2015/16 Superliga season, Duelund scored his first league goal on the second match day against SønderjyskE Fodbold and played 11 of 18 possible league games in the first half of the season. The two-footed Dane, who is also used on the flanks, wore the number 22 on his back at FC Midtjylland. Duelund also qualified with the club for the UEFA Europa League and survived the group stage there. In the second half of the season, FC Midtjylland met Manchester United in the round of 32 and were eliminated despite a 2-1 first-leg win. In the 2017/18 season Duelund was again Danish champions with the club.

At the end of August 2018, he moved to Dynamo Kiev in Ukraine and signed a five-year contract.

National team

Mikkel Duelund played in all youth national teams in his country from the Danish U-16 and is the current national player of the U-19 .
