Josip Pivarić (born January 30, 1989 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian football player . He has been under contract with Dynamo Kiev since summer 2017 .

Career

In the club

Pivarić began his career in 1999 in the Dinamo Zagreb Youth Academy . In spring 2008 he got his first professional contract there. This year she was loaned to NK Lokomotiva Zagreb . At this club he was used a total of thirteen times. In January 2009 he signed a contract with Dinamo Zagreb and was on loan until the end of 2011. On February 25, 2012 he made the first competitive game for Dinamo Zagreb in the league encounter against NK Karlovac , which was won 3-0. The first goal followed in the league game on April 21, 2012 against HNK Rijeka . In the 2015/16 Champions League season , he scored the 2-1 winner against Arsenal on September 25, 2015 . Pivarić has been active for Dynamo Kiev since July 2017 . Here he received a three-year contract.

National team

Pivarić made his debut for the Croatian national team in a friendly against Liechtenstein in 2013 . For the 2016 European Championships in France, he was canceled due to an ankle injury. Pivarić is part of the Croatian squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
