Sidcley Ferreira Pereira , called Sidcley , (born May 13, 1993 in Vila Velha , ES ) is a Brazilian soccer player . The left foot is mainly used as a left defender.

Career

Sidcley started his career in the youth teams of Gremio Catanduvense and Athletico Paranaense . In 2014, the player also made it to the professional squad in the second. On January 18, 2014 in the national championship of Paraná in the game against Prudentópolis FC , he played from the start until the 60th minute. In Série A, he made his debut on September 11, 2014 against Gremio Porto Alegre . Here he was substituted on in the 56th minute and came as a result to further bets from the bank.

In the 2015 season he started with the club in the Paraná national championship , but was loaned to Atletico Paranaense in the spring . Gained experience in the Copa do Brasil and Serie B here . Sidcley returned to Atletico Paranaense in July 2015. In his first appearance after his return, he then scored his first goal as a professional. On February 23, 2018 it was announced that Sidcley would move to Corinthians São Paulo from a loan deal . The loan was limited to the end of the year. During the break from the 2018 World Cup , Sidcley received three exchange offers from Europe. All offers had a term of five years. The interested clubs were Dynamo Kiev , Shakhtar Donetsk and Zenit Saint Petersburg .

On July 10, 2018, Dynamo Kiev officially announced the move. The contract had a term until the end of the 2022/23 season. The transfer fee should have been five million euros. When Athletico Paranaense was transferred to Dynamo Kiev, Corinthians received almost 10 percent of the fee for the early termination of the loan. Sidcley played his first game in the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha on August 25, 2018. In the away game on matchday six of the 2018/19 season against Chornomorez Odessa , he was in the starting line-up. Sidcley made his debut at European club level in the group stage of the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League . On October 25, 2018, his club met in an away game at Stade Rennes . In that game he was in the starting line-up.

After Sidcley did not play in the first half of the 2019/20 season , he went back to Corinthians on loan during the European winter break. His return was announced on January 4, 2020. The loan was limited to one year. The loan fee was around 600,000 euros and included a purchase option for around 2.7 million euros at the end of the contract.
