qualification

The following division into the individual rounds is taken from the UEFA access list, with the ranking being determined by the UEFA five-year ranking 2016/2017. If the cup winners of a national association had qualified for the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League or would have already qualified for the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League, the next team from the national league was given the worst possible starting place for this nation in qualifying for the UEFA Europa League , while the other teams moved up accordingly and took over the next better starting place. If a club was not approved for the UEFA competitions, the next best team in the national league moved up.

In the drawing of every single round of the cup winners and pursuers path, the teams are placed in two pots according to their respective club coefficient 2018 (KK), so that each seeded team (higher coefficient) will compete against an unset (lower coefficient). For the champions path, the clubs that enter directly from the champions league champions path are given priority over the winners of the previous round of the Europa League.
