The list contains the matches for the UEFA Super Cup with all statistical details, including the first edition in 1972, which was still unofficially played due to a private agreement between the clubs involved and which was only later recognized by UEFA .
Super Cup 1972
The first draw of the competition took place in January 1973 between the winner of the European Cup Winners ' Cup 1971/72 Ajax Amsterdam and the winner of the European Cup Winners' Cup 1971/72 Glasgow Rangers. The game was not played under the care of UEFA, but due to an agreement between the two clubs on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Glasgow Rangers and was supported by the Dutch newspaper " De Telegraaf ", which donated the cup. This duel was later recognized by UEFA as the first Super Cup to be held.

UEFA Super Cup 1973
The 2nd and first official draw of the competition was held for the first time under the care of UEFA. The winner of the European Cup Winners ' Cup 1972/73 Ajax Amsterdam met the winner of the European Cup Winners' Cup 1972/73 AC Milan. Ajax Amsterdam defended its title from the previous year and again won the Super Cup with an overall result of 6-1.

The planned third playout of competition between the winners of the European Champions 'Cup 1973/74 FC Bayern Munich and the winner of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1973/74 the 1. FC Magdeburg did not materialize, because - according to the official justification - the two clubs not to could agree on an appointment.

The fourth edition of the competition took place in August 1976 between the winner of the 1975/76 European Cup, Bayern Munich and the winner of the 1975/76 European Cup, RSC Anderlecht. In the 5th edition of the competition, Liverpool FC, the winner of the 1976/77 European Cup, and Hamburger SV, who won the 1976/77 European Cup Winners' Cup , faced each other. The 11th playout of the competition took place in January 1985 and was played for the first time without a second leg, as both clubs had only agreed one game due to deadlines. The winner of the European Cup Winners ' Cup 1983/84 Liverpool FC met the winner of the European Cup Winners' Cup 1983/84 Juventus Turin in Turin. The winner of the cup winners' competition won the title for the sixth time. Less than five months later, both teams faced each other in the final of the 1984/85 European Cup in the Heysel Stadium in Brussels, which was overshadowed by the Heysel disaster .

UEFA Super Cup 1985 (not held)
The planned twelfth playout of competition between the winners of the European Champions 'Cup 1984/85 Juventus and the winner of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1984/85 the FC Everton came as a result of the Heysel Stadium disaster not materialize. Juventus Turin was not allowed to play against Everton, which like all other English clubs had been banned from all European Cup competitions for five years.
UEFA Super Cup 1986
The 12th edition of the competition took place in February 1987 for the second time in just one game, this time on a neutral pitch in Monaco, and was also the first attempt by UEFA to gain more influence over the competition in terms of venue, date and organization. The winner of the European Cup Winners ' Cup 1985/86 Steaua Bucharest met the winner of the European Cup Winners' Cup 1985/86 Dynamo Kiev.
