Hans-Jürgen Gundelach (born November 29, 1963 in Gelnhausen ) is a former German soccer player who was active in the position of goalkeeper and took part in a total of 130 Bundesliga games.

Gundelach played from 1977 in the youth of Eintracht Frankfurt . With Eintracht he was twice German youth champion. The first time in the B-Youth 1980 , the second time in the A-Youth 1982 .

His career in the Bundesliga began in 1984 with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he was initially second goalkeeper and waited for the regular goalkeeper to fail. In his second and third year with the Eagle Bearers , he finally took his position and ran in 31 league games. During the 1987/88 season he only made 14 appearances, but won the DFB Cup . After the next season with only one game left for him, he moved to the first division promoted FC 08 Homburg in 1989 . There, as in the year after his immediate relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga, he completed all league games. Even in 1991/92 he mostly guarded the gate, only interrupted by a red card suspension. He then moved to Werder Bremen , where he usually sat again on the bench or played in the second team. In the first three years he played nine games for the green-whites and in the last two years of his career no more Bundesliga games. With Werder he was German champion in 1993 and runner-up two years later, and in 1994 he won another cup with this team.

Hans-Jürgen Gundelach later played as a midfielder for his home club TSV Ganderkesee and now runs a computer store in Hude .
