António Manuel Frasco Vieira (born January 16, 1955 in Matosinhos ) is a former Portuguese football player .

Career

Frasco started his career at Leixões SC , first in the basketball department , then later in the football department. After five years at Leixões, he moved to FC Porto in 1978 , where his most successful period as a footballer began.

Until 1989 he won the Portuguese championship title four times with the men from Porto , twice the Portuguese Cup and four times the Portuguese Supercup. He won the 1987 World Cup , European Super Cup and the European Champions Cup . In the final, Frasco was substituted on in the 65th minute. Porto won 2-1 against FC Bayern Munich .

Furthermore, he was called up in 1984 in the squad of the Portuguese national team for the European Championship . He was used four times and Portugal were eliminated in the semifinals.
