The Leça Futebol Clube is a sports club from Leça da Palmeira , a municipality in the Portuguese city of Matosinhos ( Porto district ). The association was founded on March 21, 1912.
history
The club played a total of four times in the Primeira Liga . For the first time in the 1941/42 season , when the club was bottom of the table. In the next few years, the club played mainly in the second or third division.
In 1993, the club made it to the Liga de Honra . Two years later, Leça FC rose again after 53 years in the Primeira Liga. After three seasons, the club had to relegate to the Liga de Honra in 1998 after corruption cases. He currently plays in the III Divisão.
The club plays its home games at the club's own Estádio do Leça FC .
