Benoît Cauet (born May 2, 1969 in Châtellerault ) is a former French football player .

Club career

Cauet made his Ligue 1 debut for Olympique Marseille on February 20, 1988 against Matra Racing (2-0). In the following years he played for various clubs in the top French league before he ventured abroad to Inter Milan in 1997 . He made his debut for the Nerazzurri on August 31, 1997 in a league game against Brescia Calcio , which was won 2-1. In 1999 he was named the club's best player at Inter. Engagements at FC Turin , Como Calcio , SC Bastia and CSKA Sofia followed . Cauet ended his career in the second highest Swiss football league at FC Sion .

On July 6, 2012, Cauet was appointed the new coach of the U15 of Inter Milan.
