John Fitzgerald Veldman (born February 24, 1968 in Paramaribo , Suriname ) is a Dutch football player of Surinamese origin.

He started his career in 1986 with PSV Eindhoven . In 1989 he moved to Willem II Tilburg for two seasons . For the 1991/92 season he moved to Sparta Rotterdam . In 1996 he moved to Ajax Amsterdam for one season . Later he went to Vitesse Arnhem . He ended his career in 2001 after a year-long stint at RBC Roosendaal . Veldman played once for the Dutch national team in 1996 .
