RBC (2001-2011 RBC Roosendaal ) is a former Dutch football club from Roosendaal in the province of Noord-Brabant .

history

The Roosendaal Boys Combinatie (RBC) was created in 1927 through a merger of VV Roosendaal and the Roosendaalse Boys.

In 1955, RBC entered Dutch professional football. There the club was mainly to be found in the second and third leagues before RBC fell back into the amateur camp with a restructuring of the professional leagues in 1971. The club became amateur national champions in 1973 . Two more titles were to follow.

In 1986 RBC returned to professional football. In 2000, the club qualified under coach Robert Maaskant for the promotion games to the Eredivisie . There the promotion to the first division was made perfect. A year later, RBC got down again. In the meantime the name has been changed to RBC Roosendaal. In 2002 the rise again succeeded. Until 2006 they played uninterruptedly in the first division, but then rose with the last place in the table in the second division. On May 31, 2011 the association filed for bankruptcy. Two weeks later, on June 8th, it was announced that the club did not have the financial resources to make a fresh start in the amateur field. As a result, RBC Roosendaal was dissolved.

In 2012, RBC started again as an amateur club and initially played in the 5th class of amateurs. RBC plays in orange jerseys and white shorts. The club currently plays in the third Dutch division.
