The Herstaco Stadium is a football stadium in the Dutch municipality of Roosendaal , in the province of North Brabant . Since 2000 (with an interruption from 2011 to 2013), the sports facility has hosted the home games of RBC Roosendaal and replaced the De Luiten stadium .

history

The Roosendaal Stadium was built in the Borchwerf industrial area behind the Roosendaal train station . The opening was celebrated on November 5, 2000 with the game RBC Roosendaal against Fortuna Sittard , which ended with a 3-1 win for the home side. At that time the venue was called the Vast & Goed Stadium . In August 2005 it was named RBC-Stadion and from the 2007/08 season the name changed to Rosada-Stadion after the company Rosada Factory Outlet . From the 2009/10 season it was named MariFlex Stadium . Due to the bankruptcy of the RBC Roosendaal 2011, the sponsorship agreement on the name was terminated and the stadium got its old name RBC-Stadion back. With the bankruptcy of the RBC, the football stadium became the property of the municipality of Roosendaal, as the club owed the municipality 4.2 million euros .

In 2012, the club continued to play in the fifth division. In early May 2013, announced that the vacant venue of the municipality of Roosendaal to the entrepreneur Paul Hermsen, founder and chairman of Herstaco BV (u a.. Steel pipe - Wholesale was sold). With the change of ownership, the venue was given the name Herstaco Stadium . The RBC, promoted to the fourth division in 2013, returned to the football arena for the 2013/14 season.

The stadium offers 4,995 seats on its four covered grandstands. The floodlight system stands on four vertical tubular steel masts in the corners of the stadium. The stadium's facilities include function rooms for conferences, presentations and celebrations. You can see the playing field from almost every room. Furthermore, the plant u. a. via a lounge and brasserie called Le Royal .

In autumn 2005 the Dutch football association KNVB imposed a fine on the RBC Roosendaal because the floodlights did not provide the required output of 800 lux . The association retrofitted and had additional headlights placed on the roof. During a storm in 2006, these headlights were blown off the roof and damaged the stands. In the meantime, the system has been changed and improved.
