Luis Amaranto Perea Mosquera (born January 30, 1979 in Turbo ) is a Colombian football coach and former player.

The defender began his professional career in 2000 with Independiente Medellín in Colombia. In 2003 he moved to the Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires for a year to move from Argentina to Europe.

From 2004 to 2012 Perea played at Atlético Madrid . He completed over 300 games for the Rojiblancos and celebrated his greatest successes with them.

For the 2012/13 season Perea moved to CD Cruz Azul for free .

Perea played 76 times for the Colombian national team.

From August 2018 to June 2019, Perea coached the Colombian club Leones FC from Itagüí .
