CONCACAF Champions League 2013/14

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The CONCACAF Champions League in the 2013/2014 season is the sixth edition of the competition.

The tournament begins in July 2013 with the group stage and ends with the second leg of the final in May 2014. The winner qualifies for the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup as a representative of CONCACAF . As with last season, all 24 participants will take part in the group stage. That is why eight groups of three teams each are formed, after which only the group winners play in the knockout round.

Field of participants

24 teams take part in the CONCACAF Champions League 2013/14. The teams come from North America, the Caribbean and Central America.

1 As Belize did not have a suitable stadium, Costa Rica was awarded a third place on the grid as the best Central American country of the previous year.
