Juan Manuel Salgueiro , full name Juan Manuel Salgueiro Silva , (born April 3, 1983 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

The 1.78-meter-tall offensive player Salgueiro belonged at the beginning of his career from 2002 to the end of 2005 of the Danubio FC team, for which he appeared in 50 Primera División games across all seasons from the 2004 season and scored twelve goals. In the 2004 season he won the Uruguayan championship with the team. In the first half of 2006 he then played on loan for the Spanish second division club Real Murcia , in whose ranks he played nine second division games (no goal). After returning to Danubio, he completed another 15 matches in the top Uruguayan league with the Montevideans in the Apertura 2006. He was listed as a goalscorer seven times in that half series. For the first six months of 2007 Salgueiro was loaned to Necaxa . The Mexicans have scored one goal in eight league appearances for him. In July 2007 he signed - also on loan - the Argentine first division team Estudiantes de La Plata . For the club from La Plata he played in 69 first division games (seven goals), in six encounters (two goals) of the Copa Sudamericana 2008 and eight clashes (one goal) of the Copa Libertadores 2009 . His team won the latter international competition. At the end of January 2010, he switched to LDU Quito as part of another loan deal . With the Ecuadorians he won the Recopa Sudamericana 2010 , in which he played two games (no goal). He was also used in six games (three goals) of the Copa Sudamericana 2010 and 39 first division games (eight goals). Then Salgueiro was active at San Lorenzo until mid-July 2012 . For the Argentine club, he scored eight times in 52 appearances in the Primera División plus two play-off games in the opposing goal. He then continued his career at Club Olimpia until the end of 2013 . With the Paraguayans he scored eleven goals in 44 first division appearances and was used three times (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2012 and 14 times (five goals) in the Copa Libertadores 2013 . A career station at Deportivo Toluca followed . There he played in nine league matches (two goals) and six games (one goal) in the CONCACAF Champions League . From July 2014 he was back on the squad of Club Olimpia. In this second career phase with the Asuncióners , he played 58 games in the highest Paraguayan league and six games in the 2015 Copa Sudamericana . In mid-February 2016, he was signed to the Brazilian club Botafogo FR .
