The Estadio Eladio Rosabal Cordero is a football stadium in the Costa Rican city ​​of Heredia in the province of the same name . The stadium is the property and home ground of the CS Herediano football club . After the sports facility used to have a capacity of 15,000 spectators, it can now accommodate 8,700 people. Construction began on December 22, 1945 and was opened on August 21, 1949 with the game of CS Herediano against SG Española (3-1). Other sources speak of a first game in 1948. Artificial turf is laid on the 105 × 68 m playing field . The facility was named in the late 1960s after Eladio Rosabal Cordero (* 1894, † 1965), a co-founder and former soccer player of the club.
