Trofeo Colombino
The Trofeo Colombino is a summer tournament that has been held by the oldest Spanish football club, Recreativo Huelva , which was founded in 1889, since 1965. The tournament winner is played in a tournament mode with four teams starting with the semi-finals. There is also a game for third place. However, there are exceptions with only three participants.
The Trofeo Colombino had a high priority for a long time, as top teams from Spain and abroad competed against each other. The record winner is the host Recreativo Huelva with 14 titles.
A special feature of the tournament was the participation of national teams. Uruguay and Chile have already played in the Trofeo Colombino.
