Player career

Gabriele Pin started playing football in the youth of Juventus Turin . He then moved to AC Parma via US Sanremese and AC Forlì . In 1985, Pin moved back to Juventus Turin as a seasoned first division player. This year, again under Trapattoni with Juve , he celebrated the championship as well as winning the World Cup .

After that, Pin moved to league rivals Lazio Rome for seven years , for whom he played almost 200 league games in which he scored 15 goals. However, he did not achieve great success with the Laziali . So it happened that he rejoined his former club AC Parma in 1992 and was able to celebrate some international successes in four years. In 1996 he moved to Piacenza Calcio and let his career end there.

Coaching career

Gabriele Pin joined the youth team at AC Parma in 1999 and was promoted to assistant coach of Renzo Ulivieri in 2001 . After his departure in 2002, he became Cesare Prandelli's assistant . With this he moved on to AS Roma in 2004 , but where Prandelli announced his resignation early due to family problems. In 2005 an engagement followed at AC Florence , where they stayed until 2010 and formed the Fiorentina into a top team.

After Marcello Lippi's resignation as national coach of the Italian national team , Prandelli was signed as head coach, while Pin remained his assistant coach. Together they could become vice European champion at the EM 2012 . After the preliminary round at the 2014 World Cup , Prandelli resigned as national coach. A short time later he was signed by Galatasaray Istanbul , Pin is also his assistant coach there.
