The Serie A 1980/81 was the 49th season in the top Italian football -Spielklasse of Lords. It began on September 14, 1980 and ended on May 24, 1981. Como Calcio , AC Pistoiese and Brescia Calcio from Serie B came to be promoted.
The season as champions ended the Juventus Turin and thus succeeded Inter Milan . Juventus qualified for the European Cup . SSC Napoli and Inter Milan qualified for the UEFA Cup . AS Roma secured participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup of the following year through Coppa Italia . Brescia, AC Perugia and Pistoiese had to relegate to Serie B. The FC Bologna , US Avellino and Perugia started with -5 points in the season as a result of the bribery scandal of the 1980th
