The Serie A 2018/19 was the 87th season of the highest Italian league for football men. It began on August 18, 2018 with the game Chievo Verona against Juventus Turin and ended on May 26, 2019 with the 38th matchday.

Season course

The reigning champions Juventus Turin remained unbeaten for 27 games from the start of the season and topped the performance of the representatives from the other European "top leagues" - Paris Saint-Germain , Borussia Dortmund , FC Barcelona and FC Liverpool . The old lady was able to successfully defend her title on matchday 32 . Lazio could only qualify by winning the cup for a European competition next Chievo Verona , the two newcomers had to FC Empoli and Frosinone Calcio the transition into the series B compete.

    aDue to the collapse of the bridge in Genoa in August 2018, the two games of the first matchday with the participation of the Genoa clubs were postponed. The match between Sampdoria Genoa and Fiorentina was made up on September 19, and AC Milan against CFC Genoa on October 31, 2018.
