Alex Sandro , full name Alex Sandro Lobo Silva (born January 26, 1991 in Catanduva ), is a Brazilian football player . Sandro has been under contract with the Italian record champions Juventus Turin since August 2015 . He plays the left-back position.

Career

Alex Sandro played for Athletico Paranaense in his youth . He made his professional debut on October 18, 2008 against SC Internacional , which was lost 1: 2. This season it was also his last appearance in the professional team. He played again for the Paranaense B team. In the next season Alex Sandro came to more assignments. In February 2010 he moved to the Uruguayan club Deportivo Maldonado . Without playing a game he was loaned to FC Santos back to Brazil to FC Santos. At Santos he was used in 30 games. He also won the Copa Libertadores in 2011 under Muricy Ramalho . In June 2011 Alex Sandro returned to Maldonado . In the same year he moved to Europe to the traditional Portuguese club FC Porto . A transfer fee of 10.3 million euros was paid for him. His release clause was set at 50 million euros. Alex Sandro had a contract until June 30, 2016.

On August 20, 2015, Alex Sandro moved to the Italian record champions Juventus Turin for 26 million euros . He signed a five-year deal and made his Serie A debut on September 12, 2015 in a 1-1 draw with Chievo Verona . At the end of December 2018 it was announced that his contract had been prematurely extended until the end of 2023.

National team

Alex Sandro is currently Brazil's national player . He made his debut under Mano Menezes on November 10, 2011 against Gabon . He was substituted on for Fábio in the second half . So far he has played three games for the Seleção . In 2011 he played for Brazil's U-20s . At the U-20 World Cup in Colombia in 2011 , he was only used in one game, but was able to celebrate winning the World Cup with the team coached by Ney Franco . Also in the U-20 South American Championship of 2011 he was victorious with Brazil.

In 2012 he took part with the Olympic team at the Olympic Games in London , where Brazil wanted to win the gold medal for the first time. In the final, however, Brazil had to admit defeat to the Mexican team 1: 2 . Alex Sandro was used in three of six games, including the final.

National coach Tite Alex Sandro was on 17 August 2018 the squad for the friendlies on 7 September 2018 against the United States men's national soccer team and on September 11, 2018 against the national team of El Salvador in the United States called. Also during the 2019 Copa América Alex Sandro was in the squad of the team. With this he was able to win the title. He was substituted on twice and was in the starting line-up in the semi-finals and finals.
