Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello (born May 26, 1988 in Necoclí ) is a Colombian football player who is under contract with Juventus Turin .

Career

Juan Cuadrado began his career in the youth teams of Atlético Uraba and Independiente Medellín . In 2008 he moved up to the professional team, made his debut for this in the Categoría Primera A , the highest Colombian division, and completed 21 league games in his premiere season, in which he scored two goals. In the following season he played nine league games in the Apertura from April 5 to May 17, 2009 before the Italian first division Udinese Calcio signed him. In two seasons Cuadrado completed 20 league and four cup games. At the beginning of the 2011/12 season he was given to US Lecce for one season - via a loan deal . There he played 33 of 38 league games and scored three goals. For the 2012/13 season , Cuadrado initially returned to Udine, but was loaned to AC Florence on July 23, 2012 and was permanently tied to the club from the following season.

On February 2, 2015, Cuadrado moved to the Premier League for Chelsea . He received a contract until June 30, 2019. Cuadrado made 12 league appearances by the end of the season and won the championship title and the league cup .

Since Cuadrado was unable to assert himself in his first six months at Chelsea, he switched back to Serie A at Juventus on August 25, 2015 until the end of the 2015/16 season on loan . Previously, he was a substitute on the second match day in the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City . In Turin Cuadrado came to 28 league appearances, in which he contributed four goals to winning the championship as well as four appearances on the way to winning the Coppa Italia .

In the summer of 2016, Cuadrado initially returned to Chelsea. In preparation he was used in the International Champions Cup . After not being in the squad for the first three matchdays of the Premier League, Cuadrado returned to Juventus on August 31, 2016 for five million euros on loan. He received a loan agreement for three years until June 30, 2019. The purchase option was 25 million euros, which became mandatory after a certain number of uses and increased by a further four million euros. As in the previous season, Cuadrado became champions and cup winners with Juve. In addition, the team moved into the Champions League final , in which Real Madrid had to admit defeat 1: 4. On September 3, 2010 Juan Cuadrado made his debut in the Colombian senior team , which won 2-0 in Puerto La Cruz against the selection of Venezuela ; he scored his first international goal with the opening goal in the 17th minute. He was on the squad at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil .

He was part of the Colombian squad at the 2018 World Cup in Russia . He was used in all games and scored one goal. With the team he was eliminated in the round of 16 against England.
