The Serie A 1971/72 was the 40th season in the top Italian football -Spielklasse of Lords. It began on October 3, 1971 and ended on May 28, 1972.
Juventus only secured the championship on the last matchday before AC Milan . By winning the championship Juventus was allowed to take part in the European Cup of National Champions 1972/73 . AC Turin , Cagliari Calcio , Inter Milan and ACF Fiorentina qualified for the UEFA Cup . The runner-up AC Milan qualified as the winner of the Coppa Italia for the European Cup Winners' Cup 1972/73 of the following year. Relegated to Serie B AC Mantova, had US Catanzaro and the Varese FC .
