Francesco Morini (born August 12, 1944 in San Giuliano Terme (PI) ) is a former Italian football player .

During his playing career he was a defender . Today he works as a TV expert for the private broadcaster Telelombardia .

Career

In the club

Francesco Morini made his Serie A debut on February 2, 1964 for Sampdoria Genoa . In the summer of 1969 he moved to Juventus Turin , where he played until 1979. With Juve he won five Italian championships , as well as the Coppa Italia and in the 1976/77 season the UEFA Cup . In total, he completed 397 games in Serie A, but could not score a single goal. In 1980, Morini ended his career with Toronto Blizzard in the North American Soccer League .

In the national team

Francesco Morini made his debut on February 25, 1973 in a 1-0 win in Turkey for the Italian national team . He took part in the 1974 World Cup in Germany with the Squadra Azzurra and played all three games. Morini played his last of a total of eleven international matches on June 8, 1975 in a 0-1 win in the USSR .
