Francesco Magnanelli (born November 12, 1984 in Umbertide , Italy ) is an Italian soccer player who is currently under contract with US Sassuolo Calcio .

Career

Magnanelli began his career in the youth of AS Gubbio in 1910 . In 1999 he was transferred to the professional squad, where he played 15 games for Gubbio until 2002. This was followed by three short positions: first he joined Chievo Verona , a year later he joined AC Florence . In both stations, however, he was without a job. In order to get match practice again, Magnanelli switched to the significantly weaker AC Sangiovannese in 1927 in 2004 . He also left after a year and only seven league appearances and moved to US Sassuolo Calcio , where he has been playing since then. After the promotion to the third and second division in 2006 and 2008, he managed with Sassuolo in the second division season 2012/13 the promotion to Serie A , which he should lead as captain to relegation.
