Federico Peluso (born January 20, 1984 in Rome ) is an Italian football player .
Career
In the club
Federico Peluso started his career in the youth team of Lazio . However, he could never prevail in Rome and left the club in 2001 in the direction of Vercelli. The defender signed a contract with the local US Pro Vercelli club . He made his debut on May 5, 2002 in the home game against Real Castelnuovo in Serie C2 , the fourth highest Italian division. In the following two seasons in the same league, he received significantly more match practice at Vercelli and was increasingly able to play in the regular team of the Piedmontese club. After a disappointing 2003/04 season, the team was defeated in two playout games against US Sassuolo Calcio , but remained in Serie C2 due to the withdrawal of AC Meda's license in 1913 . In the summer of 2004, the second division Ternana Calcio took him under contract. Peluso convinced the Umbrians with his performances and got a regular place on the defensive.
After he secured relegation with the team in his first season at Ternana, the 2005/06 season ended with the fall in the third-class C1 series. The defensive player then changed clubs again and joined UC AlbinoLeffe . In the 2007/08 season he reached with AlbinoLeffe 4th place in Serie B , which Peluso with the team in the play-off -Partien for promotion to the Serie A was allowed to play. In these Brescia Calcio was defeated in the semifinals , but the team was defeated in the finals just against the US Lecce and remained in Serie B. In January 2009, the transfer of the Italian to Serie A club Atalanta Bergamo was announced. At Atalanta he has so far not been able to oust the established defenders Gianpaolo Bellini and Leonardo Talamonti .
On January 3, 2013, Peluso initially moved to Juventus Turin on loan . In June 2013, the Turin-based company withdrew the purchase option included in the loan agreement and committed Peluso for 4.8 million euros until 2017.
In the national team
Although Peluso was never nominated for a youth selection of Italy, he made his debut in the Italian senior team on August 15, 2012 in a 2-1 draw in a friendly against England under Cesare Prandelli under Cesare Prandelli . On September 11 of the same year, the defender scored his first goal for the Azzurri in a 2-0 win in the World Cup qualifier against Malta .
