Mert Müldür (born April 3, 1999 in Vienna , Austria ) is a Turkish - Austrian soccer player .

Career

Müldür's father comes from Bingöl and his mother from Yozgat . He started his career at SK Rapid Vienna . At Rapid he later played in the academy of all ages.

In August 2017 he made his debut for the Rapid Amateurs in the Regionalliga when he was in the starting line-up against the SKN St. Pölten amateurs on matchday one of the 2017/18 season.

In November 2017, he was against SCR Altach for the first time in the professional squad. After more than 20 games for the amateurs, he made his debut in the Bundesliga in May 2018 , when he started against FC Red Bull Salzburg on matchday 34 of the 2017/18 season and was replaced by Mario Sonnleitner in the 34th minute due to injury .

In August 2019 he moved to Italy for the US Sassuolo Calcio .

National team

Müldür made his debut for the Turkish U-17 national team in February 2016 . In September 2017 he played against Italy for the U-19 team for the first time .

He was appointed to the senior national team for the first time in August 2018 . On October 11, 2018, Müldür made his debut for Turkey .

In March 2019 he played against Albania for the first time in the U-21 team .
