Cengiz Ünder (born July 14, 1997 in Sındırgı ) is a Turkish football player .

Cengiz Ünder started playing club football in the youth of Bucaspor and from 2013 played for the offspring of Altınordu Izmir .

In the first half of the 2014/15 season he was involved in training the Altınordu professional team and finally made his professional debut on September 24, 2014 in the cup match against Menemen Belediyespor . In September 2014 he had also received a professional contract from Altınordu.

After Ünder had established himself as one of the most noticeable youngsters in the TFF 1st Lig within two seasons , he was associated with many top division clubs for the 2016/17 transfer season. Despite numerous interested parties, Ünder moved to league rivals Istanbul Başakşehir at the end of May 2016 .

Under left Başakşehir after one season and signed a five-year contract with AS Roma . The Italian club paid him a transfer fee of 13.4 million euros.

National team

Ünder started his national team career in October 2014 with an assignment for the Turkish U-18 national team. From May 2015 he also played for the U-19 national team .

After he had risen at Istanbul Başakşehir team regular and was convincing, he was international caps two under for the first time in his career in August 2016 from the national team coach Fatih Terim in the levy of the Turkish national team nominated, but remained in this first nomination without Commitment.

In the meantime, he made his debut for the Turkish U-21 national team in September 2016 .

In November 2016 he was nominated again for the squad of the Turkish national team and made his international debut in the qualifying game for the 2018 World Cup on November 12, 2016 against Kosovo and scored his first international goal in a friendly against Moldova in March 2017 .
