Diego Perotti (born July 26, 1988 in Moreno , Argentina ) is an Argentine football player . He is used in midfield .

Career

In the club

Perotti moved from his home in Argentina to the Spanish club Sevilla FC in 2007 . There he came, however, more than a year later, on February 15, 2009, in the 2-0 away win at Espanyol Barcelona , for his first appearance in the Liga BBVA . He replaced Federico Fazio in the 76th minute when the score was 0-0. On the penultimate matchday of the 2008/09 season he finally scored his first first division goal after being substituted in the second half in stoppage time, which also represented the winning goal in the 1-0 win against Deportivo La Coruña . In total, he played 14 games in his first season, in which he stood twice over the full distance on the field, and was substituted on or off six times. At the beginning of the following season he was regularly set up in the league from the start. He made his international debut on matchday 1 of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League , in a 2-0 home win against Unirea Urziceni , but again from the bench.

On February 1, 2016, Perotti initially moved to AS Roma on loan for EUR 1 million for a year and a half . After just five missions in which he scored a goal, Perotti was signed on February 29, 2016 and given a contract until June 30, 2019.

In the national team

On November 14, 2009 Perotti ran for the first time for the Argentine senior team . He was in friendly match in Madrid against Spain in the 2: 1 defeat of his team in the 83rd minute when the score was 1: 1 for Lionel Messi off the bench.
