Ivan Jurić (born August 25, 1975 in Split , SFR Yugoslavia , today Croatia ) is a former Croatian football player and today's coach .
Career
societies
Jurić began his football training at the traditional club Hajduk in his hometown of Split. There he spent three years until he moved to Spanish Sevilla FC in 1997 for a transfer fee of 600,000 euros . He played there for three seasons in both the first and second Spanish leagues. This was followed by a six-month stay with Albacete Balompié , and then the move to Italy . There he wore the FC Crotone jersey in more than 150 games in Serie C1 and Serie B (third and second Italian leagues) for five years . Jurić has been in the starting line-up of the Italian first division club CFC Genoa since 2006 . In June 2010 he announced the end of his career.
National team
Although Jurić was quite successful in all Croatian junior teams, he only played for the senior national team when he was 33 in a friendly against Romania .
Coaching career
For the season 2016/17 changed Jurić to Genoa . He was released from CFC Genoa on February 19, 2017. After two months, his successor Andrea Mandorlini was sacked and Jurić was reinstated as head coach of Genoa. On November 5, 2017, Jurić was released again. Since October 9, 2018 he has been head coach of Genoa again. He has been training Hellas Verona since 2019 .
