Amir Rrahmani (born February 24, 1994 in Pristina ) is a Kosovar football player . He plays the position of central defender . He has been under contract with SSC Napoli since August 2020 .

Career

society

Rrahmani played for KF Drenica until July 2013 . Before that he was active for all of the club's youth teams. He then moved to FK Partizani Tirana , where he was under contract until July 2015. In July 2015 he moved to Croatia to RNK Split . The club paid training compensation of 70,000 euros to FK Partizani Tirana. At the end of August 2016, Dinamo Zagreb signed him, but immediately loaned him to NK Lokomotiva Zagreb . In the summer of 2017 he returned to Dinamo and became Croatian champion with his team in 2018. In June 2019 he moved to Hellas Verona . On January 20, 2020, Rrahmani moved to SSC Napoli for 14 million euros but was loaned back to Hellas Verona until the end of the 2019/20 season .

National team

From 2013 to 2016 Amir Rrahmani played nine international matches for the Albania U-21s . On May 21, 2014, he was used for the first time for Kosovo in the unofficial test match against Senegal . He played his first international match for the Albanian national soccer team in the friendly on June 8, 2014 in Serravalle against San Marino , which he won 3-0.

In 2016 he finally decided to play for Kosovo. In his country's first competitive game, he was in the starting line-up against Finland .
